Ok,lets get little more activity to this sub board! So lately i have been watching some really classic movies(which are in my opinion much better then the most we get to see these days)so I would like to see what actors you really love(d) to watch.
Mine are definitely -Marlon Brando: amazing in all his movies -Sean Connery in movies like Untouchables -Micheal Caine:I don't think this great actor is valued as much as he deserves -Peter Sellers for his Pink Panther movies
I also am enchanted by Julianna Margulies and great role she has in Good Wife series. She is by far my favorite actress.
So what movies or TV shows do you prefer old or new?Or both? And who are your favorite actors?
Feel free to post videos of their best moments here as well.

I enjoy both older and new movies/tv shows. One thing I love about a lot of the old war movies is just how awesome the spectacle is. One in particular that really blew my mind when I first saw it was The Longest Day (has a huge and generally all star cast as well). It's amazing that a movie from 1962 could have such huge battle scenes. One in particular is when they are doing the first landings on the beaches. It's really impressive when you think about them making that in 1962. Every person you see running on the beach is real, no CGI cheating/doubling, nothing like that, everything is REAL props, REAL people. Now don't get me wrong, I don't hate CGI (well some I do, but generally if it's done well and not overused its fine), it's just awesome. Another movie that goes along the same idea is the 1970 Waterloo. Now note, the film has a TON (and I mean a TON) of inaccurate things in it and is NOT a good realistic/accurate depiction of the battle of Waterloo, however, for the shear scale of it, it's very awe inspiring and impressive. It's a movie I would recommend just so you could get a sense of scale of how huge the armies were back then. Mass cavalry and all that, very impressive. A more recent (but still old-ish) show I love is Sharpe. Also, Sean Connery is awesome. P.S. Oh and another great movie is The Sting. Paul Newman and Robert Redford. Really great movie with an awesome soundtrack (if you like ragtime that is, which I do). :3

OH Redford and Newman! Sting is one of the best movies ever.
Another good pointer of how movies were(again in my opinion) generally better in past is example you have given us Darin. Longest Day according to Wikipedia it had 42 renowned movie stars in it.You won't see anything like that in movies we have today. Nowdays it's so rare to see great actors play together...
Darin i would recommend the Battle of Britain for you if you like WWII movies.
Also check Foyle's War.Amazing tv show! Season 8 was released last year i think.

Will Smith For the last 15 years or so, all of his movies have been great. Except for After Earth. He is seriously my favorite actor. In particular, I loved him in "I Am Legend" (the original ending, not the crappy one they used), "iRobot", "The Pursuit of Happyness". However, the classics of "Men in Black" and "Wild Wild West" will never be topped. Also, no actor can ever top Will Smith in the "Fresh Prince of Bel Air". Daniel Radcliffe is decent, at certain roles. Liam Neeson and Keanu Reeves are pretty bad ass. There is another I'm forgetting, oh well
