UNAC 2 has officially started. Brackets are out! Only 10 teams, 5 per division, since GA and BkS didn't sign up.
Our matches in order: Week 1 vs HB Week 2 vs Rebels Week 3 Bye Week 4 vs GK Week 5 vs KoA
We really need to be at the top of our game the first week! If we can beat, or even tie (or come close to a tie) against HB, that will be a really good start for us. Rebels we can beat if we have a solid line up, and GK we know we can beat. Luckily we are facing KoA last, so we have a lot more time to prepare for them.
I will be making individual threads for each match.

Just an update: So SF left the tournament, and while I think that is very unprofessional if they left just because they didn't like a ruling, I also am very ashamed by how people have reacted so far. I'm not surprised by people coming out with insults, it's what I have come to expect from the NA community. But still, it sickens me how petty so many of these people are.

yah, thats pretty sad. I think that if other clans with rules against the trolling and such(teamkilling etc) the NA community would be better more respectable. A reason why I think that NA clans are so few and that so many of them are petty as Darin put, is because we don't actually have any of that history. Look at EU they have at least one team per ocuntry, and they are all pretty well controled, but they all have castles, battle sites, etc. in other words, they have this sort of HISTORY there, which they probably go more into depth and the newer generation want to be closer too. Our history only really dates back to the 1700's and we already had pretty usable firearms at this time.
Just something for your brains to mull over...

It does make sense. America has always been kind of anti-authority, so why should it be any different in a game? A perfect example. Calling vs Leading. For some reason all the NA clans prefer the term "caller" rather then "leader". It makes no sense and I believe is simply because some people don't like the idea of having a "leader" over them.
So actually Otttiger has a very good point, and I do agree with it to a large degree. That being said this isn't the place for a political/social/historical conversation/debate, so lets end it here.
Anyway, back on topic, its going to be interesting over the next couple days to see what the results of all this hullabaloo is.

Not trying to start a debate, but I'm not sure how this relates to a game. Just because my country's history started in 1774, or prior to if you want to be specific, doesn't mean I don't appreciate and respect the medieval history. Not to mention, Native Americans have rich history anyways, so technically the North American continent does have a lot of history, we just overlook it a lot of times. If you really get down to it, I think the problem just lies with the type of gamers we (as in corporate marketing) have created from the mind-numbing gaming series that are constantly shoved down the NA community's throat. CoD, Battlefield 4(less than CoD, but over the years the game community has become worse), NBA 2kWhatThef**kEver, etc cause the players to be this way and not treat indie games, especially genres like this, with respect. Unlike in Europe where Indie Developers and non-mainstream games are actually quite popular. Just my opinion. Oh, and P.S., Europe has been pretty anti-authority over its history as well. More so than the United States (relatively speaking, of course). Ok, rant over. Lets get this back on topic.

Moved the thread since I don't want to delete these posts but I also don't want the UNAC thread cluttered.

Bad thread name is bad. Should be "Random argument that is increasingly pointless but humans love to argue so here you go and random things." xD
