What is the most annoying or tedious game you have ever played?
The most tedious/overly complicated/annoying game I have every played is a game called Breakdown. In short, you are a person that has been turned into a weapon meaning you have special abilities. Another person has the same special abilities, but is more experienced than you, and is trying to raise an army of creatures like you.
The game was great, and even made sense. It was the first game I really got into on my Xbox. It was also the first game I ever played with a true first person camera (meaning that a camera is attached to a third person model), which I loved. The combat mechanics were excellent, healing (by eating) was awesome. Almost all of the mechanics were awesome.
HOWEVER, what made it IMPOSSIBLE to beat is that once you got to the final boss battle, he was hard as f***. Not only was he stupidly overpowered, once you "beat him" (meaning you get him to 3/4 of health), he sends you back in time. So you have to do the last mission over again, get to him then once you get him to 1/2 of his health, he sends you back in time AGAIN. I googled it and it turns out you have to fight this boss about five times. Oh, and by the way, he gets harder each time.
The game had a pretty long story, and fighting that boss five times probably added four hours for the sheer fact of going back in time. Once I found out that I had to face him so many times, I said f*** it and never completed it. Its a shame too. To this day, I have never encountered a game that had a mission as hard or as tedious as that one.
